Ibrahim Babangida University 2015/2016 POST UTME/DE RESULTS VERIFICATION AND SCREENING EXERCISE.
This is to invite all candidates who chose IBB University, Lapai, as
their Most Preferred Institution (First Choice) in the 2015 Unified
Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored as follows:
i) 180 and above for Sciences, Agriculture, Languages, Education and Arts; and Sociology
ii) 190 and above for Management and Social Science Courses; and Mass Communication
iii) Direct Entry Candidates who have Upper Credit or its equivalent to log-on to our portal (www.ibbu.edu.ng) for online verification of their O’Level Results (i.e. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NCE/Diploma/IJMB.
All eligible candidates are therefore required to visit www.ibbu.edu.ng for the Exercise between 29th July and 12th August, 2015. The online screening exercise is in three stages as indicated below:
Stage 1: Candidates are required to do the following on the Post UTME Portal:
a. Enter their JAMB Registration Number to confirm if they are eligible. If eligible;
b. Choose a bank form a drop down list
c. Enter the number of results you wish to submit for verification (maximum of 2 sittings for O’Level results).
An acknowledgement/confirmation slip will be generated with the following information on it:
e. Candidate JAMB number and Name
f. Bank , Account Name and Account Number
g. Number of Results and Amount due for payment
Stage 2: Candidates are to proceed to make payment using the information contained in the acknowledgement slip above.
Stage 3: – Candidates who have completed the second stage of the screening should proceed to the third stage after 48 hours of making the stipulated payment by logging in their JAMB Registration Number, teller number and O’/A’ Level results. Candidates are advised to correctly input their results.
The following are the steps for the result submission process:
A. All UTME prospective candidates are to check/verify their eligibility for the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University post UTME O'Level result verification exercise. DE candidates should skip the above step and proceed to payment permission slip generation/printing.
B. Successful prospective candidate that have met the minimum requirement are to print the payment permission slip with banks details on it.
C. The prospective candidate is required to make a payment of either;
*** 1. THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED NAIRA ONLY (N 3,500 : 00 K) - if submitting only ONE(1) O'LEVEL RESULT
*** 2. SEVEN THOUSAND NAIRA ONLY (N 7,000 : 00 K) - if submitting TWO(2) O'LEVEL RESULT
D. The candidate is to collect his payment teller from the bank and to wait for a period of 48 hours for the payment to be confirmed. Please take note that an interval of 48 hours from time of payment is required before moving to the next stage.

E. The candidate is then expected to return to the portal to continue with the result submission exercise.
NOTE: Candidates results will be screened for eligibility of admission based on the following:
A. The University Admission will only be based on the NUC carrying capacity for this University. Therefore, relative
merit will be strictly applied in the context of the quality of O’/A’Level Results and UTME Score.
1. Authentication of their O’/A’Level results by the University.
2. Must have the appropriate credits in subject combination of the Course applied for including English and Mathematics, as well as the right combination in Jamb exams.
3. Must have applied to IBB University, Lapai as Most Preferred (First Choice). Course applied for is offered by the University as shown below:
